In February 2, 1954, Mr. Pratueng Kamprakob, a civil engineer from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, established SAHAKARN WISAVAKORN CO., LTD., with a registered capital of 500,000 baht (US$25,000) and 10 staff members.

By the 1960’s, SAHAKARN was expanding very rapidly as a turnkey contractor and gaining recognition from the Government, State Enterprises and the private sector as a punctual contractor and one of high technical standards. It was now specializing in engineering design, aviation and airports, road construction, bridges, flyovers, dams, jetties, utilities for government and municipal facilities and other civil works.

Today SAHAKARN has a comprehensive track record for large infrastructure and industrial projects, with satisfied local and international clients. Its registered capital has risen to 160,000,000 baht (US$5,000,000) and its staff has expanded to include hundreds of experienced engineering and operations members; an unbeatable team in the Industry.

In 2005, SAHAKARN became a partner with Zelan Holdings (M) SDN BHD of Malaysia forming a joint venture, Sahakarn-Zelan Thailand Co.,Ltd., combining their experience and the knowledge of their experts.?Zelan Group, specializes in engineering and construction, manufacturing and trading and property development.
